Teachers are change agents in schools. They are key drivers who play crucial roles in technology integration in the schools and college. It is important for them to possess positive computer attitudes since attitudes has been found to be linked to usage and intention to use, variables that determine successful technology integration in education. In other words, computer attitudes, whether positive or negative, affect how teachers respond to technology in an instructional setting or learning environment. This in turn affects the way students react to computers in schools, college and current and future computer usage. Despite the high level of technology in schools, extent to which it is optimized depends on teachers having a positive attitude towards it. This study suggests a need for teacher educators to provide a conducive and non-threatening environment for women teachers to experience success in using the computers, with a view to allowing women’s teachers to gain competence and confidence in using computers for teaching and learning.

This study provides a glimpse of selected variables that affect the computer attitudes of women teachers. Future studies could include a systematic examination of all aspects of teacher education and how these interact to impact on women teacher’s attitudes, acceptance, and usage of the computer as a tool for instructional purposes and professional development.

ICT in relation to their school of colleges teaching subjects. It is believed that women would not be a factor influencing attitudes towards computers in the near Future, as computers become a prevalent toll in our daily life, regardless of whether one likes to use it or not.

This research shows that the college & school teacher positive attitude towards ICT in relation to their school & college teaching subjects for many reasons. They appeared to be aware that the computer held many benefits for them as a teacher, guide and facilitator for their students in their effective learning. Their attitudes towards this technology were positive. Although much need to be done to increase internet use and skills among teachers, this finding proves encouraging as studies have clearly shown that the success of computer utilization was very much related to the users attitudes toward the computer.

Internet experience also encouraged positive attitudes towards the computer. The fact of teaching staff being young can provide the ICT integration due to its recent formation. Nevertheless, these teachers due to its little experience and in circumstances that they don’t trust in their work and in their competences, may have fear to apply the new technologies. Therefore the government needs to pay more attention on intensive training for women’s teachers. Funds need to be pumped into training so that the right attitudes can be given teachers. Attitudes and perceptions on the use of ict developed by teachers. The new enhanced ICT curriculum should thus be able to provide a paradigm shift from exam based teaching to provision of skills in managing ICT classes, and the knowledge of integration ICT without reliance to the curriculum. These indeed are facets that proper ICT training should impart in teachers.
